Northbound Section of Skyway Extension Project as of April 2021

Have you seen the latest update of the Skyway Extension Project? Here’s a glimpse of the northbound section of the Skyway Extension Project as of April 2021.

On April 11, 2021, San Miguel Corporation (SMC) President Ramon S. Ang and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar soft-opened the northbound section of the Skyway Extension Project.

Motorists from the South Luzon Expressway can now directly access the elevated Skyway System and bypass the Alabang viaduct.

The Skyway Extension project is a long-term solution to traffic congestion in the south. The Skyway Extension northbound section has three lanes and can accommodate an additional capacity of up to 4,500 vehicles per hour.

It is part of SMC’s 38-kilometer elevated Skyway System, which also includes the newly-opened Skyway Stage 3.
