Iligan Coastal Road Progress Update as of April 2021

Have you seen the latest progress of the P1.2-Billion Iligan Coastal Road project? Here’s the April 2021 update of the Iligan Coastal Road.

The Department of Public Works and Highways did the groundbreaking of the Iligan City Coastal Road on October 10, 2017. The project would link Bayog Island in Hinaplanon to Barangay Santiago.

The DPWH awarded a P74-million contract to Mamsar Construction Company to cover the first phase of the coastal road project that would include the 14.5 feet above the ground bridge.

According to Engineer Peter Gille, DPWH Iligan-Lanao del Norte 2nd District, the first phase of the project would stretch from Barangay Santa Filomena to Barangay Tomas Cabili, passing through barangays Canaway, Saray, Poblacion, and Tambacan. In addition, a P40-million bridge will also be built from Santa Filomena through Bayog Island which is around 3 kilometers.
