CDO Coastal Road Gusa-Puerto Extension as of January 30, 2022
Here’s the latest aerial update of the 9.3-KM CDO Coastal Road Phase 2 at the Gusa section as of today, January 30, 2022.
The road project will further reduce travel time to and from Barangay Puerto and Barangay Igpit from the usual one (1) hour and 30 minutes via Butuan City-Cagayan de Oro City-Iligan City Road (BCIR), to only 25 minutes via CDO Coastal Road Extension. It will reduce traffic in the city proper as passenger buses, cargo trucks, and heavy-loaded equipment will be using the coastal road.
Watch the CDO Coastal Road Gusa-Puerto Extension aerial survey and details below.
The coastal road will feature street lights, sidewalks, bike lanes, trees, and other public space components.
The 27-km CDO Coastal Road Extension project will consist of two sections—the Gusa Igpit Section which starts from Brgy. Gusa in Cagayan de Oro City to Brgy. Igpit in Opol, while the Puerto Gusa Section will run from Brgy. Puerto to Brgy. Gusa. Both sections are seen to help decongest traffic in the existing city roads and support the trade and commerce activity in Misamis Oriental.
