A Glimpse of LRT 2 East Extension in Antipolo Days Before Opening

Here’s a glimpse of the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT2) East Extension in Antipolo days before the opening. Have you seen the project lately?

The opening of the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT2) East Extension was moved to July 6, 2021, as work on the project has yet to be completed.

Antipolo Train Station is a part of the Line 2 East Extension Project, which calls for the construction of a 4.14-kilometer (2.57 mi) extension eastward from Santolan station, including two additional stations.

The station during its inception was formerly called “Masinag Station” but was renamed into the current name in early 2021. The station is located on the stretch of Marikina–Infanta Highway near the intersection of Sumulong Highway and is named after its location in Antipolo.
