P887-Million Balogo Sports Complex in Sorsogon Update as of July 2020

Here’s the latest update of the 4-storey Balogo Sports Complex in Sorsogon as of July 2020.

The construction of 4-storey sports complex in Sorsogon City is now underway.

Sorsogon City will soon host athletic events at the local, regional, and national levels, as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) undergoes rehabilitation and expansion works on the Balogo Sports Complex.

The P887 million project’s implementation, funded under the 2018 General Appropriations Act (GAA), will be divided into four phases.

The first phase includes the construction of an 80-meter track and field and 12,000-seater stadium that is targeted to be finished in the third quarter of 2020, in time for the Palarong Bicol in 2021 and Palarong Pambansa on 2022.
