CDO’s Newest Tourist Attraction: The Photo Alley

Cagayan de Oro City has always been a hub for arts and culture, and now it has another reason to celebrate with the launch of the first photo gallery walkway, the Photo Alley, at Limketkai Center.

The Oro Photographic Society (OPS), in partnership with Limketkai Center, has officially launched the only spot in the city dedicated to the art of photography, The Photo Alley. The Photo Alley is a permanent photo gallery-walkway for photographs curated by the society.

Located at the heart of the city, Limketkai Center is a sprawling shopping and leisure complex that caters to the diverse needs of its patrons. Now, with the addition of Photo Alley, it has become an even more exciting destination for both locals and tourists.

The launching of the Photo Alley happened on April 1, 2023. The Photo Alley will be a permanent fixture in the mall, with the exhibited photos regularly changed to promote different themes and genres of this dynamic visual art. The event was graced by representatives of Limketkai Center, the Department of Tourism, the City Tourism Office of Cagayan de Oro, representatives of the art clubs, media practitioners and bloggers, ops officers, members, and their families and friends and models.

Photo Alley features a collection of stunning photographs that capture the beauty of different cities and their people. The gallery showcases the work of some of the most talented photographers in the region, who have skillfully captured the essence of Cagayan de Oro’s vibrant culture and heritage.
