Camiguin Island to Open Doors for Tourism on October 25, 2021

Are you excited to go back to Camiguin? The provincial government of Camiguin now gears for the opening of tourism in the province on October 25, 2021.

“Mag-ready na ta para sa atong Probinsya sa Camiguin, by October 25, 2021, officially, nananghid na dayon ko sa Regional IATF atong Wednesday nga i-open na nato ang Probinsya sa Camiguin,” Gov. Jurdin Jesus Romualdo said during the Serbisyong PPR radio program, October 8.

Initial Guidelines:

  1. Fully vaccinated – on a drafted guidelines for entry into the province, Romualdo said only fully vaccinated tourists shall be permitted to enter the province.
  2. Confirmed reservation – Romualdo further added that tourists must also have a confirmed reservation with an accommodation establishment in the province. For tourists staying in a private homestay, a clearance of the barangay government shall be required on a confirmed reservation.
  3. Negative RT-PCR test result – A negative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test result is also required prior to entry in the province. For tourists coming from the National Capital Region (NCR), the negative RT-PCR test results must be obtained 72 hours from the time their swabs were tested and 48 hours for the tourists from Visayas and Mindanao.

Resorts, sites, and facilities in the province are also required to comply with the minimum public health standards and proper sanitation to ensure safety in accommodating guests.
