Inscribed as a Unesco World Heritage Park in 2014, Mt. Hamiguitan in Davao Oriental was opened for trekking in 2018. It has a height of 1,620 meters and the mountain and its vicinity have one of the most diverse wildlife populations in the country. Among the wildlife found in the area are Philippine eagles and several species of Nepenthes.
