PHOTOS: P1.2-Billion Iligan City Coastal Road as of May 2019

Take a glimpse of the P1.2-billion Iligan City Coast Road project as of May 2019.

The Department of Public Works and Highways did the groundbreaking of the Iligan City Coastal Road on October 10, 2017. The project would link Bayog Island in Hinaplanon to Barangay Santiago.

The DPWH awarded a P74-million contract to Mamsar Construction Company to cover the first phase of the coastal road project that would include the 14.5 feet above the ground bridge.

According to Engineer Peter Gille, DPWH Iligan-Lanao del Norte 2nd District, the first phase of the project would stretch from Barangay Santa Filomena to Barangay Tomas Cabili, passing through barangays Canaway, Saray, Poblacion and Tambacan. In addition, a P40-million bridge will also be built from Santa Filomena through Bayog Island which is around 3 kilometers.
